Visit the official Trezor start page by typing trezor.io/start directly into your browser. Follow the prompts to download Trezor Suite, the official desktop and web app for managing your device. Avoid links in unsolicited messages, ads, or search results that you do not trust.
Open official setup ↗Use the cable included with your device to connect it to your computer or phone. Open Trezor Suite and follow its on-screen instructions to install or update device firmware. Check that the device packaging looks intact. If anything seems unusual, pause and contact official Trezor support before continuing.
Visit Trezor support ↗Your device will guide you through creating a wallet backup, usually a recovery seed. Write each word in its correct order on the supplied recovery material and verify it as prompted. Keep the backup offline, private, and somewhere secure. Anyone who gets it may be able to access your funds, so never share it.
Understand your backup ↗Your recovery seed is the master backup to your wallet. Trezor will never ask you to enter it into a website, send it in a message, or tell it to support. Only enter it on your Trezor device when the device itself explicitly instructs you to. Anyone asking for your seed is trying to access your funds.
